The first day of the Blount County Beekeepers Association drew 130 people, many potentially new beekeepers, to the Blount County Library on Monday night (Feb. 8).
The second and final night of the workshop will be on Tuesday (Feb. 9).
The participants heard presentations about what it's like to be a new beekeeper, how to get started, and what kind of equipment you need to be a beekeeper.
